Tambor
Peaks is located 15 mins directly
behind the 'Hotel Playa Tambor'
and the landing strip on the
Nicoya Peninsular. There is
an incredible view of the whole
of the south of the peninsular
and across the gulf to Puntarenas.
There are regular flights to
San Jose, Liberia and other
regions of Costa Rica. The flight
time to San Jose is 25 minutes
and there are approximately
three flights a day.
The time taken to travel by
road and ferry to San Jose is
approximately 4 hours. When
traveling by road the San José
- Puntarenas route must be used,
taking approximately two hours
of traveling. Then, the ferry
from Puntarenas to Paquera,
which travels across the Gulf
of Nicoya takes about 1:30 hours.
This is a total trip of 3:30
hours. Once in Paquera, it is
approximately 20 kilometers
or 20 minutes to the airport
of Tambor.
